Dortys ("Ms. Dot") Novella McAnulty, age 94, died September 6, 2021, at Delta South Skilled Nursing & Rehab, in Sikeston, Missouri.

Born March 6, 1927, in Siloam Springs, Arkansas, the daughter of the late Homer C. Henderson and Dora Henderson (nee Holt). She was a long-time member of the Birds Corner Assembly of God church (joined at age 12) and the First Assembly of God Church in Sikeston. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Charles F. McAnulty in 1977. They were joined in Holy Matrimony on July 4, 1946.

Since 2015, she has been a nursing home resident in Sikeston.

Survivors include four sons, Darrell (Donnis) McAnulty of Fairfield, OH, Richard (Connie) McAnulty Sr. of Chesterfield, VA, G. David (Sherry) McAnulty of Sikeston, MO, and Philip (Kathy) McAnulty Sr. of Overbrook, KS. Five grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, and thirteen great-grandchildren.

Four brothers Archie, Walter, Wilburn, and Doy Henderson; four sisters, Gladys Morgan, Nova Curd, Betty Henderson, and Ava Jean Crawford preceded her in death. Also, two great-grandchildren, Olivia McAnulty, and Griffin Klooster.

Visitation will be held September 11, 2021, family at 10:00 am, the public at 11:00 am until time of services at 1:00 pm, at Ponder Funeral Home. Rev. Hutson L. Goza Jr of Bolivar, Missouri, will be officiating.

Interment will follow in the Bloomfield Cemetery in Bloomfield, Missouri.

The family asks that attendees please wear masks and practice social distancing as much as possible to minimize health risks.
