Dorothy "Dot" Mae Ramsey, age 83, passed away June 25, 2024, at Sikeston Convalescent Center in Sikeston, MO.

She was born March 4, 1941, at her parent's home on Beal St. in Memphis, TN, daughter of the late Willie B Carter and Essie Carter.

She was a kind person who loved being around people. She was quiet and sweet. She loved her dogs. She enjoyed riding her bike and didn't stop riding it until she was 80 years old. She enjoyed watching veterinarian shows on tv and knitting.

She is survived by her caretaker Catherine Turner of Sikeston, MO, whom she thought of as a daughter.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Leo Ramsey.
