Dorothy Poley, age 78, passed away November 2, 2025 at the Convalescent Center in Sikeston, MO.

She was born August 26, 1947 in Maryville, KS, daughter of the late Samual Eugene Hubbard and Clara Bly Jewell-Hubbard.

On August 10, 1958 she was married to Melvin Lee Poley, Sr. who preceded her in death January 30, 2000.

She attended Living Waters Church in Sikeston, MO. She enjoyed sewing, embroidering quilt blocks, and quilting. She loved to fish and to do puzzles. She especially loved her animals.

Dorothy is survived by three stepsons, Robert Earl Poley of Barnhart, MO, Melvin Lee Poley of DeSoto, MO, and Pete Roberts of Bismarck, MO; one stepdaughter, Mildred Willoughby of Sikeston, MO; and one sister, Violet Krohn of Topeka, KS.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two sons, William Eugene Poley and Robert Lynn Poley; one daughter, Audrey Heaps; three brothers, James Taylor, Frank Hubbard, and Jack Hubbard.

Visitation will be held Thursday, November 6, from 11:00 a.m. until time of funeral services at 1:00 p.m. at Ponder Funeral Home in Sikeston, MO.

Interment will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery at Charleston, MO.
