Dora Bell Hogue, age 89, of East Prairie, passed away on Monday, October 31, 2022, at the Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.

She was born on October 7, 1933, in East Prairie, MO to the late James P. Burgess and Lillie Mae McMikle Burgess. She had been a member of the First Church of God in East Prairie.  On October 7, 1950, she married James Carson Hogue, who preceded her in death.

Dora had worked at the Brown Shoe Company and later Wohl Shoe Company until the company closed.

She is survived by two daughters, Shirley (Ron) Hall of East Prairie and Dora (Monte) Thurman of Jackson, MO; two grandchildren, Dr. Ronald (Heather) Hall of Dallas, TX and Ashley (Randy) Casey of Jackson, MO; six great grandchildren, Hannah Casey, Lindsay Casey, Rachel Hall, Samuel Marcum, Caleb Peters, and Abigail Peters.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded by one sister Virginia Wilson.

Visitation will be held Saturday, November 5, 2022, from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 2:00 p.m. at the Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie, with Bro. George White officiating.

Interment will follow immediately at the East Prairie Memorial Park Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Monte Thurman, Randy Casey, Dr. Ronald Hall II, Mike Miller, Dickie Sanders and Donald Sutton.
