Donald Lee Smith, age 82, passed away November 21, 2021 at Sikeston Convalescent Center in Sikeston, Missouri.

He was born July 28, 1939 in Gideon, Missouri. He worked as a farmhand for Hubbert Farms before retiring.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia M. Howell Smith; his father, John R. Smith; his mother, Johnnie Frye Woods; his stepfather, A.D. Woods; three sons, Chucky Smith, Jackie Myers, and Roy Howell; two daughters, Kimberly Howell and Paula Powers; one daughter-in-law, Tina Myers; and three brothers, Gary Woods, J.D. Woods, and Larry Woods.

Survivors include two sons, Kenneth (Tasha Scowden) Smith and David Myers of Morehouse, Missouri; two daughters, Melissa (Preston) Smith of Vanduser, Missouri and Joyce Hise of Morehouse; one daughter-in-law, Jennifer Howell of Flint, Michigan; two brothers, Jimmy Woods of Bertrand, Missouri and Kenneth (Angie) Woods of East Prairie, Missouri; one sister, Helen (Thomas) Wynn of Sherman, Texas; three half-sisters, Mary Woods, Nellie Woods, and Ruth Woods; 21 grandchildren including his caregiver, Ashley (Shawn Amos) Starnes; 25 great-grandchildren; and special friend, Justin Windeknecht.
