Obituary

Donald Hart Hequembourg, age 73, passed away July 10, 2021, at Delta South Nursing Care Center in Sikeston, Missouri.

He was born September 27, 1947, in Sikeston, son of the late Frederick Joseph and Nannie Katherine Hart Hequembourg.

He was a member of St. James General Baptist Church, a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, stationed in Okinawa and Grand Forks, North Dakota during his four years of service, and loved to play golf.  He had worked as General Manager for Ingram Barge before retiring.

He was married to LaDonna Casey Hequembourg who survives of the home in Charleston, Missouri.

Other survivors include one son, Scott Joseph (Manda) Hequembourg of Qulin, Missouri; two daughters, Amy Suzanne Hequembourg (Eric) Looney of Imperial, Missouri, and Jill Kristen Hequembourg (Nathan) Aters of East Prairie, Missouri; one brother, Stephen (Judy) Hequembourg of Naperville, Illinois; one sister, Lana Hart of Sikeston; and five grandchildren, Brynn Childers, Holly Hequembourg, Josh Looney, Tucker Hequembourg, and Eli Hequembourg.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, July 14, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie, where funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 15, 11:00 a.m.  The Rev. David Dowdy will officiate.

Burial will follow in the Dogwood Cemetery at Dogwood, Missouri with full military funeral honors provided by the Missouri Honor Guard.

Pallbearers will be Nathan Aters, Eric Looney, David Jackson, David Casey, Randy Casey, Josh Looney, Tucker Hequembourg, and Eli Hequembourg.

Honorary pallbearer is Dean Riggs.
