David Lewis Turley, age 64, passed away on August 5, 2026, at St. Francis Medical Center. Born on January 2, 1962, he was the son of L.T. Turley and Elizabeth Buchanan Turley.

On August 4, 2011, David married the love of his life, Songa Heath Turley, who survives of the home.

David was an outdoorsman through and through. Whether casting a line into the water, spending time in the woods hunting, or simply enjoying the beauty and peace of nature, he found happiness in the great outdoors. He also loved listening to music and watching sports, especially the St. Louis Cardinals.

Above all else, David was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, son, and friend. His greatest source of pride and joy was his family, and there was nothing more important to him than the people he loved. His caring heart, steady presence, and love for his family will be deeply missed but forever remembered by those who knew him.

David is survived by his beloved wife, Songa Heath Turley; his mother, Elizabeth Buchanan Turley; two sons, Josh (Lela) Carmack and Eric Turley; two daughters, Sarah Turley and Hannah Turley; two grandchildren, Silas Carmack and Lucas Turley; and a host of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, L.T. Turley.

Visitation will be held Friday, August 14, 2026, beginning at 4:00 p.m., with a memorial service to follow at 5:00 p.m. at Caudle Funeral Home in Sikeston, Missouri.
