David Jr. Mott, the son of the late Dave and Luella Mott, was born in Truman, Arkansas on May 27, 1935, and passed away peacefully at his home on July 12, 2026 at the age of 91.

He lived in Dexter, MO for the past 12 years, He was many things: body man, grain truck driver, farmer, and carpenter. But above all, he was a loving father, grandpa, and great grandpa. He believed in the Lord with every part of his soul and always kept his faith.

He is survived by his daughter, JoAnn Mott; granddaughter, Tiffanie Smith; grand son-in-law, Brandon Smith; and twin great grandsons, Aiden and Brody Smith. Other survivors include two brothers, Leon and Eugene Mott, along with nephews and nieces.

In addition to his parents, David was preceded in death by 3 sisters, Dorothy, Helen, and Shirly; and 3 brothers, Herbert, Jimmy, and Bobby. He was also preceded in death by the love of his life, Betty Findley and son-in-law Robert Holt.

A visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 18, 2026. Services will take place at Caudle Funeral Home in Sikeston, MO.

Interment will be at Bloomfield Cemetery in Bloomfield, MO.
