Connie Hill Thompson, age 82, passed away December 7, 2023 at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston, Missouri.

She was born August 12, 1941, in Sikeston, Missouri, daughter of the late George Harper Hill and Geneva Tetley Hill.

Connie attended First United Methodist Church in Sikeston and was a graduate of Grayridge High School. She worked with the Sikeston Public School System until her retirement in 2019.

Connie was very active in the Sikeston Community. She served on the Board and participated, directed, and acted in plays for the Sikeston Little Theatre.  She was a member of Sikeston Community Choir; she volunteered at Sikeston Depot and served on the Board of Sikeston Public Library. Connie directed many plays for the Drama Club at Sikeston High School. She was a Sporting Event Greeter at Sikeston Public Schools and never missed a game or match.

She is survived by two daughters, Tonia Thompson (John) Sayre of Flemingsburg, Kentucky and Rissa Thompson (James) Hartman of Cuba, Missouri; one sister, Georgia Ann Horton of Essex, Missouri; one granddaughter, Mahrysa (Mikie) Harmon of Steelville, Missouri; and four great-grandchildren, Kyle Killeen, Max Harmon, Hattie Harmon, and Kadence Harmon.

Visitation will be Friday, December 15th, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. until time of funeral services at 1:00 p.m. at First United Methodist Church. The Rev. Jennifer Moxley will officiate.

Burial will follow in the New Essex Cemetery at Essex, Missouri.
