Christopher Wade Williams, age 63, passed away Sunday, August 21, 2022, at Aspire Senior Living Center in East Prairie, Missouri, due to an extended illness.  He was born March 15, 1959, in Wyatt, Missouri, to Bernice Myers Williams, who survives of Bertrand, and the late Cecil Lee Williams.

Christopher was a self-employed logger.  His many hobbies included riding 4-wheelers, swimming, fishing, and especially spending time with his children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

He is survived by his mother, Bernice Williams; two sons, Dustin (Michelle) Williams of Bardwell, Kentucky and Christopher Jacob "C.J." Williams of Sikeston, Missouri; one daughter, Kristin Sterling of East Prairie; two grandsons, Bradyn Williams and Jaron Williams of Bardwell, Kentucky; two sisters, Sherry Williams Plunk of Sikeston and Cecelia "C.C." Williams of Charleston; two aunts, Anita Ray of Sikeston and Marilyn (Charlie) McCoy of East Prairie; eight nephews, two nieces, nine great nephews and two great nieces.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, John H. Myers and Gertrude Weatherspoon Myers, and Cecil Ray Williams and Alma Doris Williams.

Visitation will be held Friday, August 26, 2022, beginning at 11 a.m. until time of funeral service at 1 p.m. at Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie, with Mike McKinney, pastor of Southside Baptist Church in Charleston, officiating.

Interment will follow in East Prairie Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Shelby Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be C.J. Williams, Nick Spitler, Ryan Overby, Scott Manning, Howard Williams Jr. and Mike Hurley.

Honorary pallbearers will be Darron Noisworthy, Harlin Smothers, Jimmy Redfering, Jeff Triplett, Jimmy Williams and Travis Odell.
