Christine Powell Young, age 51, passed away September 2, 2024, at her home in East Prairie, Missouri.  She was born November 18, 1972, in Huntsville, Alabama, to Ronald Powell and Louise Farris Powell.

She was married to Richard Young, who preceded her in death June 5, 2020.

Christine is survived by one son, Lucas Young of East Prairie; two daughters, Allison Young and fiancé Payge Smith of Lake Station, Indiana and Maddy Powell of East Prairie; one brother, Ronald Powell, Jr. and wife Natalie of East Prairie; two sisters, Tina Cunningham and Cyndi Wagnon and husband Jeff, all of Alabama; one aunt, Lurleen Farris; three uncles, Clyde Farris, Herbert Farris, and Roy Farris; her best friend, Holly Atchley; several nieces and nephews and extended family members.  She was also known as "Grandma Chris" to Elijah Smith.

Christine also was preceded in death by Curtis Anderton, who was like a brother to her.

Private memorial services will be held at a later date in Alabama.
