Chester Howard Poe, age 81, of East Prairie, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, March 14, 2013, at Aspire Senior Living Center in East Prairie.  He was born March 31, 1941, in Bald Knob, Arkansas, to the late Roscoe Poe and Clara Manning Poe.  Chester had worked as a timber cutter.  On May 8, 1965, in East Prairie, he married Charlett Gene Denning, who preceded him in death September 5, 2022.

Survivors include two daughters, Lisa Dawn (Ricky) Curvin of Fort Orchard, Washington and Lorie Leigh Kolwyck of East Prairie; three grandsons, Ricky Curvin, Jr., Gabriel Curvin and Aaron Lay; and two granddaughters, Chelsie Sierra Poe and Alyssa Noel Jernigan; along with many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Chester was preceded in death by his wife and parents; one baby daughter, Lana Poe; two brothers, Bill Poe and Hillis Poe; and six sisters, Jean Blasingain, Jackie Arnicar, Flora Carey, Carol Isabell, Alta Blasingain and Freda Poe.

No public services are scheduled.
