Cheryl L. Beggs, age 69, passed away June 24, 2026 at her home in Blodgett, MO.
She was born June 12, 1957 in Cape Girardeau, MO, daughter of the late Gale Riley and Marilyn Alfultis.After her mother's passing, she was fortunate to be welcomed by Jeannie Boxdorfer and raised alongside Kevin and Cindy Alfultis.
She was a mother, farm wife, and later beloved Nana. She was the glue that held the family together.Cheryl was the helper of all, giving rides on the farm and taking care of grandkids. She was artistic and could do or fix anything. If someone needed help, she was the first to raise her hand. She loved reading books, the river and warm weather.
On October 2, 1993 at Benton United Methodist Church, she was married to Gary Douglas Beggs Jr., he survives of the home in Sikeston.
Other survivors include one son, Doug (Katina) Beggs III; two daughters, Millie (Matt) Dannenmueller and Bethany Beggs; three brothers, Steven (Pearl) Riley, Vernon Alfultis, and Kevin Riley; five sisters, Lori (Mike Burrell) Riley, Trudy (Steve) Buel, Terri (Bob) Roth, Karen (Heath) Burger, and Jennifer Riley; and six grandchildren, Gary Beggs IV, Benjamin Dannenmueller, Ian Sadler, Nicholaus Dannenmueller, Korra Sadler, and Tiberius Sadler.
In addition to her parents, Cheryl was preceded in death by one brother, Charlie Sweat.
Visitation will be held at Caudle Funeral Home in Sikeston, MO, Monday, June 29, from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. followed by a graveside service at 2:30 p.m. at Blodgett City Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Steven Riley, Matt Dannenmueller, Benjamin Dannenmueller, Gary Beggs, Nicholaus Dannenmueller, and Ian Sadler.
Honorary pallbearers will be Kevin Alfultis, Tiberius Sadler, Matt Jones, and Kevin Riley.
