Obituary

Charles Galan Williams, age 87, of Advance, MO, peacefully passed on to his heavenly home March 27, 2025 at Bertrand Nursing Center.

He was born March 12, 1938 in Hayti, MO, son of the late Roy E. Williams and Mamie Harvell- Williams. He was one of 13 children.

On August 15, 1957, he was married to Judith Ann Singleton-Williams in Bertrand, MO. They were married 63 love-filled years. She preceded him in death on December 6, 2020.

In the early years of their marriage, Charles worked at Avion Coach Corporation as a Master Cabinet Builder in Benton Harbor, Michigan for 13 years before moving back to Sikeston. He was the co-owner of Williams Brothers Construction and built many beautiful homes alongside his brothers in and around Sikeston. Charles and Judy then moved to Jackson and developed Hickory Lane Estates. Charles was a member of the Cape County Cowboy Church, and served on the church building team when the Oak Ridge location was being constructed. He was a talented finish carpenter until he retired. Charles enjoyed spending time with his family, camping, and telling jokes and stories.

He is survived by two sons, Charles Darryl (Summer) Williams of Montague, MI and Timothy Galan (Renee) Williams of Sikeston, MO; one daughter Danielle (Steve) Jordan of Advance, MO; two brothers, Mickey Williams and Joe Williams, both of Sikeston, MO; 17 grandchildren, Charles (Heather) Williams, Chad (Heather) Williams, Deena (Erick Thompson) Williams, Carson (Anna) Williams, Collin Williams, Caleb Williams, Christopher Williams, Amanda (Scott) Brooks, Miranda (Paul Riley) Jordan, Stephania (Travis) Bond, Samantha (Austin) Williams; Chans (Ashley) Fisher, Annalee (Tim) Delay, Tanner Williams, Lane (Abbey) Williams, Colton Young, Ashton Young, 26 great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild.

In addition to his wife and parents, Charles was preceded in death by one daughter, Kimberly Ann Fisher, six brothers, five sisters, and one great grandson.

There will be a memorial service held Wednesday, April 2nd , at 11:00 AM at Ponder Funeral Home in Sikeston, MO.
