Jane Catherine Rataj, age 69, passed away August 19, 2022 at her home in Sikeston, Missouri.

She was born December 11, 1952 in Harrisburg, Arkansas, daughter of the late Ollie "Hawk" and Maurice Blaxton.

Cathy had worked as a restaurant manager and as a blackjack dealer for Aztar Casino in Gulf Port, Mississippi before retiring. She loved cooking and spending time with her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and other friends and family.

She is survived by one son, Christopher Lee (Kristi Michelle) Rataj of Sikeston; two brothers, Cooper Blaxton of Michigan and Gerald Blaxton of Newport, Arkansas; one sister-in-law, Nettie Blaxton of Jonesboro, Arkansas; three grandchildren, Jessica (Jordan) Weiss of Jackson, Missouri and Lizzi Rataj (Bobby Walker) of Sikeston, and Brittany Evans of Sikeston; and four great-grandchildren, Jaden Weiss, Jett Weiss, Jonah Weiss, and Reed Walker.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Darnell Blaxton.

Visitation will be held Thursday, August 25, from 4:00 p.m. until time of funeral service at 6:00 p.m. at Ponder Funeral Home in Sikeston.
