Carolyn “Sue” Keeton, age 80, passed away Thursday, July 23, 2026, at her home in East Prairie, MO. She was born July 13, 1946, in Sikeston, MO, to the late Louis Elbert “Blue” Turley and Vida Mae Payne Turley and had been employed by VNA and CB Forms.

She was married to Rodney Houstin Keeton, who preceded her in death May 22, 2012.

Sue had a great love for her family and friends. She was of Baptist faith. She enjoyed Bingo nights with her sisters, watching the St. Louis Cardinals, and spending time with her loved ones at the “Turley Family” get-togethers. One of her greatest memories was of taking her son Billy to his first Hank Williams concert (before he was old enough to get in!). She had a loyal best friend, Oreo, who kept her company for many years. Sue’s proudest moments in life were of being Billy’s mother, a role she cherished. Billy tragically lost his life on January 22,1989, at the age of 22 ~ he was her entire world.

Survivors include one brother, Dennis (Lori) Turley; four sisters, Linda Linhart, Pamela (Wiley) Allred, Kathy (Randy) Rakestraw and Janie Marcum; as well as a host of nieces and nephews.

Sue was preceded in death by her parents and husband; her precious son, William Houstin “Billy” Keeton; and two brothers, Jerry Turley and Larry Turley.

Visitation will be held Sunday, July 26, 2026, beginning at 12 o’clock noon until time of funeral service at 2 p.m. at Caudle-Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie. Dr. Zachary Barker will officiate.

Interment will follow in Dogwood Cemetery under the direction of Caudle-Shelby Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Clayton Cooper, Kaden Revelle, Houstin “Tate” Henderson, Ryder Jones, Gavin Jones, and Cree Berry.

Honorary pallbearers will be Rylan Shoffner, Aiden Rakestraw, and Solaiman Blue Benyoussef.
