Obituary

Carol Ann Gleason, 73, passed away on May 28, 2022, at the Sikeston Convalescent Center in Sikeston, MO.

She was born in St. Louis, MO on June 24, 1948 to Edward and Bettie Pansky.

Carol and Tommy Gleason Jr. were joined in marriage on May 29, 1967. She was a dedicated and loving mother, grandmother, sister, friend and wife who enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She had a zest for life, always had a smile on her face, and possessed a great sense of humor. She always tried to help others, gave of herself, and spent a number of years volunteering at the Sikeston Public Library and the Missouri Delta Medical Center Gift Shop.

Carol is survived by her husband Tommy Gleason Jr.; her son Aaron (Brenda) Gleason; daughter Suzanne Gleason-Baros; grandchildren Carter Gleason, Connor Gleason, Katelyn Baros (Alyssa Hernandez), and Justin Baros; great granddaughter Ella Baros, sister Barbara (Joe) Wheeler, nephew Brad Kern, nephew-in-law Tom Muldoon; great nephew Timothy; great niece Colleen; and her mother-in-law Mary Gleason.

Carol is preceded in death by her parents Edward and Bettie Pansky, her father-in-law Tommy Gleason Sr., a brother Edward Pansky, a niece Brenna Muldoon, and son-in-law John Baros.

A mass celebrating Carol's life will be held at 11AM on Tuesday May 31, 2022, at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Sikeston. The family will be accepting visitors between 10AM - 11AM at St. Francis Xavier Church prior to the mass.

Memorial donations can be made in Carol's name to the American Cancer Society, the Sikeston Public Library, or St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church.
