Carla Marie Thompson-Scott was born on August 25th, 1964 in Kankakee, Illinois to Maxine Price and Robert Thompson.

She lived her life wholeheartedly and fully. She lived and loved the lord and the people she's met on her journey. From having her first and only child in 1995, to marrying the love of her life in 2005, she worked hard to make sure her family was complete. She gave benevolently to everyone from family to friends to co-workers and even strangers. She always had a kind word, something inspirational to give especially knowledge that seemed beyond even her age. She gave all she had with no regrets, no worries and without fear because of her faith in God.

She is cherished and remembered by her husband Tyrone Scott of Sikeston, MO; son, Ty Scott of Cape Girardeau, MO; daughter, Takhyia Scott of Sikeston, MO; granddaughters, Ta'Kyra Scott and A'Mira Scott; brothers, Brian Price and Tony Thompson; sisters, Trena Thompson, Crystal Garner, Dominque Garner, and Aunte Alma Peggy Thompson; and so many cousins, family and friends who loved her tremendously.

Visitation will be held Friday, August 29, 2025 from 12:00 p.m. until the time of services at 1:00 p.m. at Ponder Funeral Home in Sikeston, MO.
