Carl Ray Crosier, age 81, of East Prairie, MO, passed away Monday, November 2, 2026, at Mercy Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau, MO. He was born October 23, 1945, in Cairo, IL, to the late Robert Crosier and Mazie Claudia Bauer Crosier, and worked in maintenance for various businesses most of his life. Carl lived in Charleston during his youth, with his family later moving to Cairo, IL, where he graduated high school. He was a collector of anything involving music and played guitar with several bands through the years. He always enjoyed playing music with his bandmates and friends. Carl was also known to love walking outdoors.

Margie Abbott, his longtime companion, preceded him in death on March 22, 2016.

Survivors include one daughter, Tracy (Jody) Latamondeer of East Prairie, MO; and his two grandchildren, Luke Latamondeer and Evail Latamondeer, both of East Prairie.

Besides Margie, he was preceded in death by one daughter, Lisa Chessor; and his twin brother, Vernon Ray Crosier, who died in infancy.

A celebration to honor Carl’s life will be held at a later date.
