Obituary

Arnold Randolph "Bud" Myers of Sikeston, Missouri, went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on November 6, 2022. He was a resident of the Missouri Veterans Home in Cape Girardeau, Missouri at the time of his passing.

He was born December 19, 1933 in Washington, Indiana, son of the late Arnold Wesley and Bessie Charlotta Myers.

On June 11, 1955 in Sikeston, he married Myra Propst Myers, she preceded him death May 19, 2004.

He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Sam Myers and Rex Myers; and two sisters, Alice Gray and Lodena Summers.

Survivors include one son, Randy (Kim) Myers of Sikeston; one daughter, Pam (Clint) Stephens of Advance, Missouri; three grandchildren, Laura (Brian) Blissett of Sikeston, Alicia (Dan) Pitts of Dallas, Texas, and Preston (Delaney) Arnold of Austin, Texas; six great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Bud graduated from Purdue University in 1961. After serving in the US Navy during the Korean War, he settled in Indiana for many years, then moved to Sikeston in 1973. He retired from Triangle PWC in 1999. After retirement he enjoyed traveling, camping, wood working, hunting, fishing, and spending time with friends and family.

Visitation will be held Thursday, November 10, from 11:00 a.m. until time of funeral services at 1:00 p.m. at Ponder Funeral Home. Eric McGruder will officiate.

Burial will follow in the Sikeston Memorial Park Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Eugene Nolen, Brian Blissett, Gabriel Blissett, David Alsobrook, Tom Alsobrook, and Preston Arnold.
