Bobby Joe McIntyre, age 77, of Bloomfield, Missouri passed away July 30, 2025, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Missouri surrounded by his family.
He was born June 13, 1948, in Pop City, MO to the late Leonard Jewell and Bernadetta Eastabrook McIntyre.
A member of the Faith Family Church in Painton, Missouri. He served as a deacon there for many years and in later years he served as an honorary deacon. He served in the United States Army for two years and was stationed in Vietnam for a year.
Bobby worked as a farmhand for most of his life. He enjoyed mowing the yard and raising a garden. He loved spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He enjoyed taking his grandchildren fishing and watching his western shows. He was very proud of his family and loved them very much.
On September 9, 1967, he married Sharon Williams McIntyre who survives of the home.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by three brothers, Darris (Nellie) McIntyre, Leroy (Eva) McIntyre, and Curtis (Rose) McIntyre; three sisters, Barbara Myers, Sharon (CW) Coleman, and Esther Abbott; three granddaughters, Taylor McIntyre, Kiara (Emanuel) White, and Daelyn McIntyre; five great grandchildren, Tobias, Cai, Emoni, Kinslee, Easton, and one on the way Kaisley.
Including his parents he was preceded in death by two children, Darrin and Deborah McIntyre; five brothers, Darrell, Dewayne, Raymond, Carl, and Dennis McIntyre; and two sisters Myrle Greer and Alice Henson.
Visitation will be held Monday, August 4, 2025, from 9:00 until time of services at 11:00 a.m. at Ponder Funeral Home in Sikeston, Missouri. Pastor Don Jolliff will be officiating the services.
Interment will follow at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield, Missouri with full military honors.
