Billy Joe Causey, age 88 of Sikeston, passed away Tuesday, July 25, 2023, at Sikeston Convalescent Center.  He was born February 18, 1935, in Malden, Missouri to the late Bertis Causey and Della Jones Causey and was a veteran of the United States Army.  He was employed as a mail clerk by the US Postal Service for over thirty years.

On April 23, 1987, in Benton, Missouri he married Patricia Wright, who survives of the home.

Additional survivors include one son, Jerry Don Willbanks of Sikeston; two nephews, Ralph Eugene Causey and Jerry Brown; and five nieces, Marilyn Chana, Barbara Crick, Debbie Norton, Glynda McNair, Nola Thomason.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Ralph Causey, Marvin Causey and Bobby Gene Causey; three sisters, Marguait Causey, Helen Summers and Deloris Smith; and two nieces, Brenda Hester, Rita Causey.

Graveside services will be held Monday August 7, 2023 at Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield, Missouri starting at 1 pm.
