Billy Barksdale, age 90, passed away Saturday, August 27, 2022, at the Delta South Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Sikeston.

He was born December 4, 1931, in Deering, Missouri to the late William and Lula Barksdale.  On October 25 ^th he married Dathol Zook, and they resided in the Dogwood Community.  He was a self-employed carpenter and an avid outdoorsman.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by one son, Darrel (Cyndi) Barksdale, three granddaughters, one grandson, one great granddaughter and four great grandsons.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one infant son and daughter, four sisters, and four brothers.

Visitation will be Wednesday, August 31, 2022, from 12 noon until the time of the funeral service at 2:00 p.m. at the Smith Avenue Church of God.

Interment will follow immediately at the Dogwood Cemetery in Dogwood, Missouri under the direction of Ponder Funeral Home in Sikeston.
