Billie Eugene Salyer, age 72, of Sikeston, Missouri and formerly of Anniston, Missouri, passed away December 11, 2023 at Delta South in Sikeston, Missouri.

He was born November 1, 1951 in Cairo, Missouri, son of the late Billie Wayne Salyer and Wanda Pemberton Salyer.

He graduated from Charleston High School in 1969, where he played basketball, football, baseball, and ran track.  Billie never missed a day of school.  He worked as a Master Electrician for over 60 years before retiring.

He loved his kids and grandchildren—he was very close to all of his grandchildren.

On June 20, 1992, he was married to Susan Cheryl Morris Salyer, she survives of the home in Sikeston, Missouri.

Other survivors include three sons, Heath Salyer of Charleston, Missouri, Sean Salyer of East Prairie, Missouri, and Billie Salyer of Palm Dale, California; one daughter, Olivia 'Dawn' Salyer of St. Louis, Missouri; seven grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Johnnie Brooks; and two sisters, Judy Brooks Stokes and Barbara Brooks Nolan.

There will be a private service held.
