Bill David Mills, age 80, of East Prairie, Missouri, passed away on Monday, May 30, 2022, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, with his loving wife Diana by his side.  Bill was born on May 18, 1942, in Detroit, Michigan, to the late Lester and Della Boren Mills.

Bill graduated from high school and entered boot camp at Camp Pendleton, California.  He served in the U.S. Navy from 1960 – 1964.  In 1991, Bill met Diana in Las Vegas, Nevada, and they were married on May 28, 1998.

Bill is survived by his wife Diana; his seven daughters and stepdaughters, Kim Volz, Colleen Ingersoll, Charla Goe, Christine Ward, Catherine Staples, Carolyn Bower and Carrie Ruth Ashley; his very special niece, Kris Wilcox; 20 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Judy Mills; and two sisters, Valla Ritter and Audrey Rhea.

Private services will be held at a later date.  Shelby Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
