Beverley Kay Cartwright, age 65, of East Prairie, Missouri, passed away Friday, September 1, 2023, at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau, Missouri.  She was born March 5, 1958, in Cairo, Illinois, to the late James Christian and Vivian Owens Christian. Beverley was a member of New Beginnings Church in East Prairie, where she played an active role in serving others and the Lord.  She was a homemaker and took on the full-time job of caring for her young children years ago when her husband Bob was in the military.  She also loved decorating her home.

On September 22, 1972, in East Prairie, she married Robert "Bob" Cartwright, who survives of the home.

Additional survivors include one son, Robert J. "Robby" Cartwright of East Prairie; three daughters, Angela (Mark) Smithson of East Prairie, Leslie (Michael) Bennett of Vero Beach, Florida and Erin Jackson of East Prairie; three brothers, Reese (Sandra) Christian of East Prairie, Billy Ray (Lorrie) Christian of East Prairie and John Michael Christian of Sikeston, Missouri; and five grandchildren, Aaron, Jacob, Leah, Abigail and Elijah.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, James Eldridge "Jamie" Christian and Ernie Christian; and two sisters, Brenda Thurman and Barbara Holmes.

A celebration of life service will be held for Beverley on Friday, September 8, 2023, beginning at 2 p.m. at New Beginnings Church, 209 Powers St., East Prairie, Missouri.  Bro. Randy Eskew, pastor, will officiate.
