Betty Lou Kindle passed away on July 30, 2026, in Sikeston, Missouri, with her loving family by her side.
She was born in Sikeston, Missouri, to the late Lee and Lela Taylor Hileman.
Betty dedicated 19 years of service to the Bootheel Regional Planning Commission. She began her career as a Grant Administrator and, through her hard work and dedication, retired just six years ago as a Compliance Officer.
Above all, Betty was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She cherished her family more than anything in this world and looked forward to every opportunity to gather with those she loved. One of her greatest joys was preparing special meals for her family, creating memories around the dinner table that will be treasured for years to come. She also found great happiness tending to her beautiful flower gardens and planting flowers, taking pride in the beauty she created.
She is survived by her loving daughter, Cheryl Coplin and her husband, Aaron; her grandchildren, Linli Williford (Bobby Taylor) and their children, Hadley Williford and Case Taylor; Logan Holderfield and her children MacKenzie Shelby and Koe Shelby; Aadin Coplin (Evelyn Brockway) and their children, Jaxxen and Augustus Coplin; and Addie Coplin (Marquis Johnson).
In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her siblings, A.C. Hileman, Charles Hileman, Robert Hileman, Lucille Haley, Shirley Rutledge, Mary Cook, and Donna Hileman.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Caudle Funeral Home in Sikeston, Missouri, on Saturday, August 8, 2026. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. and continue until the funeral service at 12:00 p.m.
