Betty L. (Brooks) Constant, 89, of East Prairie, MO, passed away in the early morning of November 9, 2024, quietly in her home.

Betty was born February 8, 1935 in Ridgley, TN, the daughter of the late Robert Everett and Bertha May (Hardin) Brooks.

In 1958, she married her husband Fred Constant. They were married for 38 years until his passing in 1996. Together they had 3 wonderful children, Anita (Ronnie) Lutes of East Prairie, Carla (Butch) Jackson of East Prairie, MO and Freddie (Sarah) Constant of Bertrand, MO. She had many grandchildren, Brandi Adams, Eric Adams, Amy (Colin) Grissom, Ryan (Brooke) Hamblen, Jamie Jackson and his late wife, Ashley, Jerred (Erin) Jackson, all of East Prairie, MO, Kayla (Zack) Summers of Sikeston, MO, and Breck Constant of Bertrand, MO.

She also has several great grandchildren, Austin, Lucas, Chloe, Logan, Lyla-Rose, Hadley, Presley, Rylee, Alex, Natalie, Ivy, Mason, Kullen, Kruize, Abby, Elijah, and two great-great grandchildren, Posey and James Roe.

Betty was a homemaker most of her life who enjoyed working with her hands, sewing and embroidery. She was of the Baptist faith and attended church regularly at First General Baptist Church in East Prairie, MO. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and great-great grandmother.

Betty was the youngest daughter of 5 children. She was in preceded in death by her sisters, Hazel Parnell and Reva Parker; her brothers, Norman Brooks and Otis Brooks; and a grand daughter-in-law Ashley Jackson.

A graveside service will be held Thursday, November 14 at 11:00 a.m. at Dogwood Cemetery. Coy Dowdy will be officiating the service.

Pallbearers will be Jamie Jackson, Eric Adams, Jerred Jackson, Breck Constant, Alex Jackson, and Eli Jackson.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Freddie Steven Constant, Ronnie Lutes, and Butch Jackson.
