Obituary

Betty Lou Childers, age 84, passed away December 27, 2021 at her home in Sikeston, Missouri surrounded by family.

She was born October 20, 1937 in Missouri, daughter of the late Richard and Blanche Ingram.  She worked for VNA Hospice before retiring.

She was married to Billy Childers, he preceded her in death.

She is survived by three sons, Alan (Teri) Childers of Cincinnati, Ohio, Ronnie (Chris) Childers, and Larry Childers all of Sikeston; one daughter-in-law, Linda Childers; one brother, Jim (Sue) Ingram of Wickliffe, Kentucky; four sisters, Linda McNair and Peggy (Jay) Reed, all of West Memphis, Arkansas, Sheila (Wayne) Holder of Bartlett, Tennessee and Sandra (Curtis) Henry of Charleston; nine grandchildren; and twenty great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two sons, Mark Childers and John Childers; one daughter-in-law, Nancy Childers; one brother-in-law, Winston McNair; four brothers; and two sisters.

Visitation will be held Friday, December 31, from 11:00 a.m. until time of funeral services at 1:00 p.m. at Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie, Missouri.

Burial will follow in the IOOF Cemetery at Charleston, Missouri.
