Beatrice Mae Kerby Tripp, age 99 of East Prairie, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, March 28, 2023, at Bertrand Nursing Center in Bertrand, Missouri, after living a long and full life.  She was born January 9, 1924, in Malden, Missouri, to Zoad Kerby and Edith Jenkins Kerby.  Beatrice was a homemaker and enjoyed sewing and cooking.  She loved taking care of her family, especially her grandchildren.

On May 11, 1944, she married Carnell Tripp, who preceded her in death.

Beatrice is survived by her six children, Deloris Gibson of Belvidere, Illinois, Deloma Parton of Mount Washington, Kentucky, Roger (Carol) Tripp of Sikeston, Missouri, and Linda Loomas, Bonnie (Richard) Wallace and Pamela Bisher, all of East Prairie.  Also surviving is one sister, Luella Tripp of Lafayette, Indiana; 11 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and 6 great-great grandchildren.  Beatrice will also be remembered and loved by a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Ronnie Tripp; and two grandchildren, Little Richard Wallace and Christopher Bisher.

The family would like to express special appreciation to Loretta Scott for the care and respect given to mom for the past 20 years.

Visitation will be held Friday, March 31, 2023, beginning at 11 a.m. until time of funeral service at 1 p.m. at Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie, with Bro. Sonny Jackson officiating.

Interment will follow at East Prairie Memorial Park Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Logan Bisher, Jess Olin, Bryan Grisby, Richard Wallace, Shawn Hanschen and Shane Irby.

Honorary pallbearers will be Wesley Parton and Terry Parton.
