Barbara Sue Russell Tinnon, age 85, a resident of East Prairie, MO, passed away Wednesday, March 25, 2026, at the E.W. & Lucille Cates Hospice House in Ocala, FL. She was born March 21, 1941, in New Madrid, MO, to the late Argus Regon Russell and Ardena Noe Russell, and was a homemaker. She loved tending to her flower gardens and simply being outdoors. Barbara was also known to be an excellent cook. She attended Elm Street Baptist Church. Her faith was unwavering; she truly loved her Lord. She lived her life as a wonderful role model for her children and grandchildren, who all looked up to her.
She was married to Neal Tinnon for over 36 years; he survives of the home.
Also surviving are her children, daughter Jackie Wray Luke and husband Jeffrey M. Luke, daughter Kim Newell and husband David Newell, and daughter Tammie Parino; grandchildren, Dylan M. Luke, Cat Newell, Tiffanie and Dustin Young, Roc and Brittany Parino, and James Parino; great grandchildren Alexander Daggler, Kase and Korbin Young, Gracie Parino, Maverick Parino, and Adilynn Parino; and one sister, Joann McMoy. Also surviving is her brother-in-law Gary Tinnon, and sisters-in-law Brenda Vass and Faith Hager.
Barbara was preceded in death by her son Ragon Wilson Wray, who preceded her in death June 4, 1986; one great granddaughter, infant Hannah Parino, who passed away in May of 2015; and five siblings, H.R. Russell, Dolores Voliva, Danny Russell, Tony Russell, and Debra Russell.
Visitation will be held Thursday, April 2, beginning at 11 a.m. until time of funeral service at 1 p.m. at Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie, MO. Bro. Jon Archie, pastor of Elm Street Baptist Church will officiate.
Interment will follow in Dogwood Cemetery under the direction of Shelby Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Dylan Luke, Jason Aycock, Ben Hall, Roc Parino, James Parino, and Marty Brown.
