Marshall
Oct 26, 1948 — Oct 5, 2026
Barbara Jean Marshall, 77, passed away peacefully on October 5, 2026, at Sikeston Convalescent Center, surrounded by her loving family.
Barbara was born on October 26, 1948, in Oskaloosa, Iowa, to the late George L. Fisher and Geraldine Winegardner Fisher. She was united in marriage to her late husband, Larry Marshall.
Barbara worked for the University of Missouri for more than 30 years as a secretary. She was a hardworking and dedicated woman who took great pride in her work and in caring for those around her.
Barbara had many hobbies and interests that brought her joy throughout her life. She was an avid bowler and enjoyed crocheting, knitting, and crafting. She especially loved making Barbie clothes and furniture for her grandchildren, creating special memories that they will cherish for years to come. She was a devoted St. Louis Cardinals baseball fan and enjoyed playing four-point pitch with family and friends.
She regularly donated blood and helped organize blood drives in her community. Throughout her lifetime, she donated more than 100 pints of blood, giving the gift of life to countless people. Barbara was known for her generous heart and her commitment to helping others
Above all, Barbara loved her family dearly. She cherished the time she spent with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, and her love and kindness will continue to live on through them.
She is survived by her three children, Geri (Ron) Sinuard, Sarah (Tonya) Morefield, and Jeremy (Janice) Lemon; two brothers, Dennis Fisher and Lealon Fisher; six grandchildren, Elyce, Gabrielle, Erin, Courtney, Kiersten, and Kenzie; and three great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, Larry, she was preceded in death by her sister-in-law, Trish Fisher.
A celebration of Barbara's life will be held at a later date. In lieu of a traditional funeral service she wanted her body to be donated to science. Caudle Funeral Home is overseeing the arrangements.
