Anna Alice Anderson ~ Born March 28, 1942
Anna Alice Anderson, age 79 years and a resident of East Prairie, Missouri passed away Sunday, July 18, 2021, at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri. She left her earthly home to enter her heavenly home with her greatest treasure, "Funny Face", Tiffany Dawn Brown, by her side.
Born March 28, 1942, in Morehouse, Missouri to the late Claude and Alvie Myers, she lived in East Prairie for the past twenty years, moving from Sikeston, Missouri. She had worked at Sikeston Country Club and JD's Steakhouse. She was a member of First Christian Church in East Prairie.
On January 10, 1971, she married Rodney Alwin McCoy of Sikeston. To this union was one son, Feller (Lori) McCoy of Morley, Missouri; and one daughter, Elizabeth Dawn McCoy of Sikeston, Missouri.
On December 24, 1988, she married George William Anderson, who preceded her in death Saturday, October 18, 2014. To this union was one son, John C. (Ginger) Anderson of Cape Girardeau, Missouri; and three daughters, Debbie (Martin) Lucas of East Prairie, Susan (Mark) Thornbrough of Dexter, Missouri and Georgia (Tim) Shuls of Nashville, Tennessee. She is also survived by one sister, Betty Tooley.
Collectively they had a multitude of grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren, multiple nieces and nephews as well as her precious Church family.
Besides her parents, Claude and Alvie Myers, she was preceded in death by one sister, Barbara Barbar; two brothers, James Griffin and Kenny Crenshaw; one grandson, Brandon "Buddy" McCoy and one great grandson, George Anderson Brown.
Friends may call from 4 – 5 p.m. Thursday, July 22, 2021 at the First Christian Church, where a memorial service will be conducted at 5 p.m. with Bro. Martin Lucas officiating.
