Ann Elizabeth Burton, age 77, of Benton, Missouri passed away Thursday, November 2, 2023, at her home.

She was born August 10, 1946 in Sikeston, Missouri to the late Coy Sumner Foster and Ellen Earlene Riley Foster. In 1960 she married the late Merle Lynn Burton in Vanduser, Missouri.

Ann owned and operated her own contracted truck delivery company for many years. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, along with antique and thrift shopping. She also loved dancing. She especially loved spending time with her family.

She is survived by one son, Ronald Terry Burton of Sikeston; one daughter, Teresa Lynn Geringer of Perryville, MO; eight grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren; one daughter inlaw Tanya Burton of Sikeston, and one close friend James Russell of Zalma, MO.

In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by one son, Michael "Slugger" Burton, and one brother, Jim Foster.

Visitation will be Monday November 6th at Ponder Funeral Home from 11 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 2 p.m. Interment will be at Blodgett City Cemetery following the funeral service.
