Allene Elizabeth Jackson, age 88, of East Prairie passed away, Wednesday, December 21, 2022, at the Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston, Missouri.

She was born July 26, 1934, in East Prairie to the late Oscar and Lilly Bell (Sides) Bright.  On December 30, 1954, she married Russell Elmo Jackson, who preceded her in death.  She had lived all her life in East Prairie and was a homemaker and a member of the First General Baptist Church in East Prairie.

She is survived by 4 sons, Randy Elmo Jackson, Tommy Joe Jackson, Billy Don Jackson, and Robert Andrew Jackson; one brother Jessie Bright of Anniston; seven grandchildren Misty Jackson Burris, Jordan Jackson, Kyndra Jackson, Malaysia Caery, Luke Jackson, Dakota Jordan, and Patton Gammons; four great grandchildren; and one sister Geraldine Byassee.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a son Ricky Gene Jackson.

Friends may call Wednesday, December 28, 2022, from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m., where the funeral services will be Thursday, December 29, at 12:00 noon at the Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie.

Interment will follow immediately at the East Prairie Memorial Park Cemetery in East Prairie under the direction of Shelby Funeral Home.
