Ada Vestal 'Bug' Wilson, age 98, passed away January 30, 2022 at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau, Missouri.

She was born January 1, 1924 in Pemiscot County, Missouri, daughter of the late Van Milton Watkins and Ada Leach Watkins.  She was a member of First Baptist Church in Sikeston for 60 years.

On January 2, 1942 in Caruthersville, Missouri, she married Jewel Manley Wilson.  He preceded her in death.

Vestal is survived by one son, Johnny Wilson of Denver, Colorado; one daughter, Lorna Hill of Raytown, Missouri; two grandchildren, Jewel Richard Hill of Kansas City, Missouri and Johnny Blake Wilson of Denver, Colorado; and one great-grandchild, Allen Findley.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Jewel Dennis Wilson; nine brothers; three sisters; and one granddaughter, Mary Denise Merideth.

Visitation will be Thursday, February 3, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Ponder Funeral Home, where funeral services will be held Friday, February 4,  11:00 a.m.

Interment will be at 11am on Monday February 7th at Sikeston Memorial Park.

Pallbearers will be Ben Watkins, James Whiteside, and Joe Bob Wat kins.
